Severed beans, ear tubes and the NBA

Yes. It's been an interesting time since my last post up and out. The Dallas trip went well, minus my kidney infection. Very fun time and my nephews had a really fun birthday party. Keeping my prayers out there for my sister and her family in hopes they move back to the glorious Golden Triangle from Dallas. Very happy they got to escape, but our kids would have fun growing up together and not just seeing one another twice a year! Hoping to hear something soon on this.

Maddie's been sick a record 10 weeks (3 months off and on) with ear infections and sinus infections so she's getting tubes put in her ears, really bumming me out, but if it helps her and everything goes okay then I'm all for it. Okay, I'm not really all for it, but I'm willing to allow it if it will help her to get well!

After my really awesome testicular surgery of machette chopping pain back in... well, I don't remember when I got the vas because I've blocked said terror from my memory... but it turns out it didn't work so I'm getting the surgery done AGAIN. Here's to hoping it works this time? Either way, I don't want Krisi on any meds or future surgeries since she's already been through enough and given us two amazing kids. So yeah, I'll take the blade once more for the wife!

The NBA. SO I was a major NBA tard back in the early 90's and then lost interest during the famous lock out. Then in college I got back into the 2002-2003 playoffs and the early 2003-2004 season, but there was way too many thug-like activity going on and hardly anyone was really doing anything so I quit watching again. Then the 2008-2009 playoffs happened. I was hooked again and have been watching the 2009-2010 season very closely. Since I missed so much, I thought I'd research what I missed. Not much it turns out. A whole lot of unnecessary fights that in some cases (Ron Ron) were completely embarrassing. People glorifying players like T-Mac (how many fights did this guy get into at Orlando in 2000?!), Ron Artest or really anyone that's just plain ghetto on the court are ridiculous in my opinion. Leave the street ball attitude on outside and remember that you are making millions to play in the NBA... and yes, kids are watching and seeing you as the untouchable heroes that you are and should be. Here's to hoping that this injury ensued season will pull together.

Other than that? Thankful I made it to 30. Not everyone gets to say, "Yeah. I had it done. Twice. Once in my twenties and once in my thirties!"

And that's a bacon wrap,

Inward Jim... and a bit more fuzz

Lots and lots, I say. Maddie's getting bigger, faster and adding teeth! She's also getting crawl-ready, so we're on standby for the ruckus! Kylun is doing great and is above-average for his preschool which helped me shed worries of him being behind all the other kids in his class like this time last year I thunked. He's a 'game wizard'. We have hooked up at home for his daily 'game time allowed' a V-Tech Smile system, Wii, Super NES, NES, N64 and XBox. And yes, he plays all of them, except the Wii, surprisingly, he has little interest yet. But he does play Gamecube games on it quite frequently. Kids are awesome, wife is amazing and I have a kidney infection, whoops! Other than that, I'm very happy with life.

I have always enjoyed having plenty of hobbies going on involving music and movies/tv script writing. Sadly, this has mostly come to a close, or at least become a one-sided venture. And if you know me, I'm one that needs constant direction as not to be sidetracked during projects. My 2 main movie ideas have gone cold as well as the ol' band ideas in every direction, unfortunately. But I did try and given my awesome ability to not write music well, I decided to hang up the music hat for good. It's not worth me getting stressed over. Hobbies = fun release from stress, not more stress. I have been able to work more on the Wonder Friends cartoon and hopefully that is getting closer to being solid as well as still picking at my G.I. Joe comic/cartoon/storyline/graphic novel. Also thinking of picking back up a comic idea I started in 8th grade and wrapped up in 12th grade, the Freak Man comic. This could be great, but again, my focus is terrible and I'm much more geared towards my family and work right now, so I'm not sure if Freak Man will get the gold star just yet! I am hoping to someday produce or co-produce Chad Belyeu's album. This has to happen as he's the most talented local artist that needs to be heard! Just have to get with Double D on this and make it a go.

That's it. NBA is going great this season. Football is (thankfully) almost over and no baseball to have to hear about, so it's that nice time of year. Praying my job hangs in there and ready to meet my new McNiece in Dallas this weekend! There's your blog and you can keep it.
